This mattress fits the full crib and toddler bed forms of each of our cribs and is a standard size.

The Lullaby Earth Breathe Safe Full Crib Mattress is designed for parents looking for an alternative to the chemicals used in conventional crib mattresses along with full breathability. This style consists of a non-toxic waterproof mattress with a removable washable, waterproof, breathable cover. It is non-toxic, waterproof, hygienic, and provides proper support—everything  you need for your baby's safe sleep. This mattress has a dual-firmness design that grows with your child, with one firmer infant side and one side with a toddler-appropriate level of cushion.

  • Materials: polyester fill, polypropylene interlinings, food-grade polyethylene core and waterproof surface. Polyester fabric, polyurethane (TPU) waterproof backing and elastane elastic band (cover only). Made in the USA with domestic and global materials.
  • Fire safety: passes all flammability regulations without the use of flame retardant chemicals, fiberglass or chemical flame barriers
  • Allergens: made without latex, wool or other known allergens
  • Care: to clean, wipe the surface with a damp cloth. Use a mild cleanser, hydrogen peroxide or alcohol to sanitize. Machine wash and dry cover.

    Makes me feel better about using the included mattress

    My wife and I have been trying as best we can to limit our new baby's exposure to harmful chemicals and materials while also valuing products that are earth-friendly, even though it feels like like swimming upstream in this day and age. We absolutely love our Nestig Wave crib (still just at the mini crib stage), but the mattress situation had us a little concerned. They offer the Lullaby Earth breathable, waterproof, eco-friendly mattress as an add-on, but it's a whopping $129 and you'd still end up with the included original mattress anyway that you... throw away? Store somewhere as a backup? I didn't feel great about generating that much needless waste and spending so much money, so I decided to stick with just the original. But when we unboxed the crib and the original mini-crib mattress, I was hit with a chemical smell, and nowhere did Nestig reveal what sort of chemicals might be on that original mattress (everything referenced the crib only). I was a little worried.

    When I saw that they sell this breathable, more eco-friendly mattress cover (even though it is polyester—but I understand it's pretty impossible to make something waterproof out of cotton), that was our answer. Yes it's overpriced at $50 for just one cover, but it's not as overpriced as the Lullaby Earth mattress, and it allows us to effectively convert the questionable stock mattress into something more usable with more peace of mind, without wasting anything. It's durable and well-made. So far little spit…
