Anna Stoffels' Gender-Neutral Earthy Nursery Tour

Anna Marie Stoffels is an assistant photographer and photography graduate of Columbia College Chicago.

Like most of us who develop an interest in interior design, her home became her canvas, leading to an Instagram account to document her design journey.

Usually, Anna has an existing vision before starting a design project, but during her pregnancy she was completely overwhelmed and had no idea how to approach the design.

After stumbling across the Nestig Cloud Crib, she was inspired to take on a contemporary style using a vintage rattan dresser she already owned.

Unfortunately, the dresser and crib did not co-exist well and fought for the spotlight as two statement pieces.

What she was certain about, is that she wanted to stay away from the typical frilly pink nursery, but instead, playful, yet sophisticated.

Instead, she decided to replace the dresser with something more modern and making the crib the star of the show.

We asked Anna to share a few of her takes about her daughter's finished space!

Interior style in 3 words?

Clean, earthy, and quirky.

Are there any pieces, products or decor with a special story you can share?

The Hoya plant above the crib is actually a cutting from a plant my grandparents owned. We named our daughter Raleigh, after my grandpa Rawley. I love the idea that she will care for the same plant he once did.

What would you tell another parent about your Nestig crib?

The first thing I noticed when unboxing the Nestig crib was the quality of the wood. The Brazilian pine is stunning and the design is so sleek. If you want to splurge, do it with this crib. We have received nothing but compliments from friends and family. I also love that it comes with the pieces for a mini crib and the toddler bed. That makes this 3-in-1 deal so worth it.

We like to think about nurseries as spaces for everyday magic, any favorite motherhood memories in the room so far?

Holding Raleigh in my arms and rocking her to sleep. So many parents say they forget the newborn stages of life. Swaying side to side and watching her doze off. I smell her head and I just think to myself “I never want to forget this moment."

Thanks, Anna and Raleigh—we love your space!
